stacistacisxxx As a fan of PLMP, I noticed there's a huge quality shift in this album compared to her prior lofi works. We're greeted with quirky lyrics and droney vocals as usual, but surprisingly talented Residents' esque guitar riffs and fun midi drums. Very similar to late 90s early 2000s Residents albums like "Demons Dance Alone."

Drumsdullsville is easily the best Petunia Liebling Macpumpkin album, and ends on such a beautiful note that Im always shook after hearing it.

I highly recommend it! :) Favorite track: Mulled Wine.

—Drummssdullville— The room where the red hall ends Is the room where the trouble begins The room where the red hall ends Is the room where the trouble begins They flourish in all of the halls As they pass through all of the walls In the house that’s made of stone In the world that’s locked in the dome But here in Drummssdullville, they just can’t get their fill Of their own reality But is it worth the price to make that sacrifice, And live in a dream that you can see? Where the happy mask and saddened mask Can watch your every move The show begins and it ends within, So what is there left to prove? Your move! As time and space is unfurled Each person’s in their own world Through the door to all of the land To the key in the palm of your hand Leave it all behind what you saw Under Hall of the Hourglass Law But here in Drummssdullville, they just can’t get their fill Of their own reality But is it worth the price to make that sacrifice, And live in a dream that you can see? Where the happy mask and saddened mask Can watch your every move The show begins and it ends within, So what is there left to prove? Your move! But the marigold girl has stolen the key From the looking glass sea, with such dignity From the man looking back on the world that he knew But the contact came through—yes, the contact came through And she cried for the man in black, And the wind on the waiting track It was a question of time and space, And it brought her to this convex place The room where the red hall ends

—Smile, Little Lieblings (It's Magic!)— Cause it’s magic! (Yes, it’s magic!) Cause it’s magic! (Yes, it’s magic!) Cause it’s magic! (Yes, it’s magic!) Cause it’s magic! (Yes, it’s magic!) Smile, little lieblings—do not say a word, And remember to remember everything you’ve ever heard, Cause today, my little lieblings, some things are gonna change Oh my, my, my little lieblings, they’re going to rearrange Smile, little lieblings—listen to me Smile, little lieblings—watch what you see Smile, little lieblings—listen to me You’re going to remember what you’re going to see Watch what you see Cause it’s magic! (Yes, it’s magic!) Cause it’s magic! (Yes, it’s magic!) Cause it’s magic! (Yes, it’s magic!) Cause it’s magic! (Yes, it’s magic!) I have magic, yes I do Is my magic false or true? Well I guess that’s just for you to decide, little lieblings So abide, little lieblings, by what I say Cause it’s magic! (Yes, it’s magic!) Cause it’s magic! (Yes sir, it’s magic!) Cause it’s magic! (Yes, it’s magic!) Cause it’s magic! (Yes, it’s magic!) Smoke beams, butterflies, bats and doves Watch the rain go down slowly from above Watch me reverse it back up with a shove Little lieblings, little lieblings Do I amaze you? Do I entrance you? Little lieblings? Smile, little lieblings, smile Smile, little lieblings—listen to me Smile, little lieblings—watch what you see Smile, little lieblings—listen to me You’re going to remember what you’re going to see Cause it’s magic—yes, it’s magic! Cause it’s magic—yes, it’s magic!

—Ways to Worlds Beyond— There’s something wrong with our dimension Just take it from me There’s something wrong with our dimension It’s obvious to see I’ll forge a key to another realm, Cause they all think I’m insane I’ll forge a key to another realm I’ve got everything to gain This world has been in magic lacking So I think it’s time that I start packing, And leave this doldrums town tonight Life was not as kindred to him As he felt that it should be What to do now? Figure out how to mock reality Kismet and Kosmet’s Ways To Worlds Beyond Sign on the dotted line, and find yourself among A dyad of deities who know this world is wrong There’s something wrong with our dimension Just take it from me There’s something wrong with our dimension It’s obvious to see I’ll forge a key to another realm With secrets new and old I’ll forge a key to another realm Until my story has been told There’s something wrong with our dimension, And I think it’s time for intervention, And I’m planning on creating it tonight We’ve taken pity on your life Observing all your pain and strife We have the key in hand for you You’ll know exactly what to do Kismet and Kosmet’s Ways To Worlds Beyond Sign on the dotted line, and find yourself among A dyad of deities who know this world is wrong In a world of magic, I shall change I’m planing how to rearrange Time and space to fit my needs Once I’ve signed and I’ve agreed Oh resolution, resolution, on answer I have stepped Oh resolution, true solution, this secret must be kept

Sweets 05:08
—Sweets— Oh, we take heart in baking cakes, And swimming in our cherry lakes We have the time to waste our days, And cover them in honey glaze Cotton candy, buttercups Sugar bonbons, lollipops Cinnamon and marzipan Anything that you demand Candy is the name of the game in this town Look all about, you can see it all around Candy is the name of the game in this town Look all about, you can see it all around Candy is the name of the game in this town Look all about, you can see it all around Oh, we take heart in baking cakes, And swimming in our cherry lakes We have the time to waste our days, And cover them in honey glaze Candy mountains, minty trees, Extra fruity jujube bees Vanilla-chocolate swirly blitz Caramel-covered banana splits In a world where sugar dominates A world so sweet I’ll demonstrate How life can be in candy land How easy it is to understand That candy is the name of the game in this town Look all about, you can see it all around Candy is the name of the game in this town Look all about, you can see it all around Candy is the name of the game in this town Look all about, you can see it all around

—Man on the Moon— I’m sure you’ve heard the story About a man whose glory, And fame, and fortune made him Universally renowned The brightest star that ever shown In the moonlit dreamer zone That night sky instigator Who lights the midnight craters Has been left all alone The man on the moon Is crying softly for his dunes At such a cost This lonely man’s love was lost He had to go, And dwell on the land down below He’s yearning for the past But alack! Alas! The past just never lasts! But there’s more to our story Some unknown territory Some special knowledge that we’ve Yet to be revealed and shown Of the saddest kind of tone That the world has ever known A lady fair and pretty To him she spares no pity, And left him all alone The man on the moon Is crying softly for his dunes At such a cost This lonely man’s love was lost He had to go, And dwell on the land below He’s yearning for the past But alack! Alas! The past just never lasts! So when you’re gazing up there Or if you’re stopping to stare Looking up high to see that Man who’s living on the moon Oh, this story makes me swoon Thanks for listening to my tune You’ll see no man on up there Only a woman as fair As a golden afternoon

—Hall of the Hourglass— Enter—in through the hall now Center—center the call To the Hall of the Hourglass Red trail leads to the glass dome in the sky Time‘s going fast—time’s going slow Time‘s going round in circles Time‘s going fast—time’s going slow Time‘s going round in circles In the Hall of the Hourglass the sky comes drifting through Passing through view in circles The time of the hour mass passes right on cue Massing through light in circles (Never does it stop spinning past the walls) (Never does it stop climbing up the halls) Time‘s going round in circles Annabelle lived in a big old house She always talked to the chopped-tail mouse She looked in the mirror and her image cried She looked in the mirror and her image died Hourglass sands would sift down through, And every day her hatred grew Kismet and Kosmet‘s Ways to Worlds Beyond Life was not as kindred to him as he thought that it should be In the Hall of the Hourglass the sky comes drifting through Passing through view in circles The time of the hour mass passes right on cue Massing through light in circles Time‘s going fast—time’s going slow Time‘s going round in circles Enter—in through the hall now Center—center the call To the Hall of the Hourglass Red trail leads to the glass dome in the sky

Mulled Wine 06:03
—Mulled Wine— In the frozen darkness of the mirror maze Was a search for many years in vain Following clues that led to strange, strange places Through intrigues and deep pain But reality was growing softer now And the fabric seemed to be wearing thin All the pathways forked through the parallels To a velvet chamber deep within A heavy curtain lifted back that night To familiar eyes from a thousand dreams The mirror image of divisions made Outside of time under bright moonbeams In a wave that felt like Christmas Eve They filled the cup with mulled wine With cinnamon and honey—beaming forth so sunny In a vortex of sparkle and shine For the briefest of moments nothing is missing When they fill the cup with mulled wine Against a wall of roses—the awe that it exposes And the glow will always be divine of mulled wine Like fantastic players in a storybook They shared a dance, and perfect prose Bright white heat melted many layers of ice away Revealing the soft song of the rose With a key to the lock of a long dead fire Held captive to destroyers of mankind The forest deer ran into the cold, dark wood And met the song within his mind All illusions were shattered as his pain was felt The snowflake spelled eternity Our Father allowed this story to occur And what is left, well, we’ll just have to see In a wave that felt like Christmas Eve They filled the cup with mulled wine With cinnamon and honey—beaming forth so sunny In a vortex of sparkle and shine For the briefest of moments nothing is missing When they fill the cup with mulled wine Against a wall of roses—the awe that it exposes And the glow will always be divine of mulled wine

about

Petunia-Liebling MacPumpkin is an audio-visual storyteller who is responsible for creating and performing in two innovative video concept album projects: Fish Drive Edsels (2012-2016), and I Left My Heart In Uncanny Valley (2017-2022).

Delving into new depths, she teams up with Norwood Grimes to bring you the epic prog-rock fairy-tale adventure, Drummssdullville. Originally conceived of as a full length musical play for stage in the mid-1990s, Drummssdullville is filled with nostalgia, mysticism, and theatricality as expected from MacPumpkin, but takes her music in a bold, new direction accompanied by the beautiful rich tones of Norwood Grimes versatile guitar styles.

Norwood Grimes is a native bass player turned multi-instrumentalist singer/songwriter/wanker. He once wrote a love song to Bono and opened a school for rich kids, but couldn’t afford the rent.

In his latest adventure he joins forces with 20th century ghost, Petunia-Liebling MacPumpkin, as they battle their way through Drummssdullville and down the hall of the hourglass, to get to the gooey centre. Armed only with his trusty guitar and a pignose on his hip, he effortlessly takes on the evil monkey smuggler and opens a shop selling used vegemite sandwiches.
